Life as an Ozzie Photographer!

Updated: Apr 17, 2019

Just got back from a few weeks travelling my favorite place on earth, Australia's east coast. The sunsets, beaches and kangaroos were absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to share the photos!

Spent 3 days in Cape Hillsborough National Park, the only place we went to where we could spend some time with wild kangaroos that roamed the park at dawn. The beach was enormous and was home to tons of walking trails and hikes for all the campers. We travelled at a quiet tourist time so the beaches were empty and very quiet, which was nice.

The peacocks that roamed where we camped in Yeppoon were extremely comfortable with humans and loved to peck at our pockets for treats.

Beach life was fun and a much needed break for the entire family. We enjoyed getting lost in nature and exploring an average of 2-3 new beaches everyday, each with their own unique features. At this particular spot we camped right on the sand and fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night.

4-8 hour drives everyday on the left side of the road was frustrating but highly interesting for my dad, but the roads were highly scenic so we didn't mind the rides.

See LANDSCAPE + nature gallery for more photos of this trip!
